Freegal Music App Reviews

Downloaded a song, but it stays in the app and cant add it to the rest of my music library on my device. Easier to download from freegal on my computer, then add it to iTunes so I can listen to it on any of my devices.

The way to get the songs out of the app is to sync the phone to iTunes on you desktop machine and go to the apps tab. There you see "file sharing" and you can get the folder out from there and into finder. Also note: there is a 3 song per week limit.

Needs bug fixed and it would be better, especially focus on making the app run faster and smoother. Keep trying and i will use more if improved :)

its good, but its really hard to find a song and is very buggy. please fix!

Despite my 2 local libraries having subscriptions neither is listed as an available library with the app, very disappointing.

You can see albums or songs by most popular but if you even try to search for the artists it always comes up with nothing. Which leaves you at the mercy of what popular music people are downloading, and the general population has idiotic taste in music. See the radio for example.

Its not the full version of the song how disappointing!

I also am unable to find my library. I typed in Canada and it didnt show up! Its a shame because I love Freegal and I wish the app worked! Maybe they need to update the app and add more libraries because Im sure my library (ottawa public library) has it. I use it all the time.

This app is so annoying it always crashes if I can even open it that is ti always crashes wen I am searching for a song and I hit backspace please fix for 5 stars

I have been a longtime Freegal user, and this app makes the service even better. I particularly like having the ability to stream albums without downloading. That said, the browse and search functions are still very clumsy and frustrating. Its often hard to find a specific album in the database, never mind uncover something new and unexpected.

This app crashes like no tomorrow! Its terrible and I dont recommend this. I have an iPod 5. It downloads song automatically with me even choosing!

Hardly any original versions of songs (at least in what I personally am looking for). Theyre all knock-offs and karaoke versions. Waste of time.

Hard to navigate. Interface needs refreshing.

The app takes getting used to. Yes it froze for me too. I corrected it by turning the power off on my iphone and I was able to continue. I like the app now Ive had it for over 6 months and Im enjoying the free music!

Great songs and all, but it doesnt let me download 7 songs a day!!!!!!!!! I deleted it then got it again, but this time, it deleted my previous songs and STILL DIDNT LET ME DOWNLOAD. Sorry app people, but dont expect a good review from me when the service is this TERRIBLE.
